Nasser Hussain asks young players to learn cover drive from Babar Azam

Former England cricket Nasser Hussain says young cricketers should learn cover drive from Pakistan’s skipper Babar Azam. A video of Hussain praising Babar Azam has gone viral on social media.

He said that he would have named Virat Kohli but Babar Azam is ahead of other leading prayers when it comes to playing cover drives. He said playing cover drive is not easy but great players like Babar Azam makes playing cover driver so easy.

Hussain rated Babar Azam ahead of Virat Kohli, Kane Williamson, and Joe Root. The former cricketer added that any young cricketer should watch Babar Azam play cover drive.

“Sorry Indian fans, I’m gonna be biased and go with Babar Azam. I almost went with Kohli. He has the quick flick of the wrist, but Babar has the conventional way of playing it,” he added. Cricketer added that he has watched both the players Virat Kohlu and Babar Azam play cover drive. Virat Kohli plays cover drive with a quick wrist motion while Babar Azam hits the shot in an unconventional way.

The cricketing world has been drawing a parallel between Babar Azam and Virat Kohli. Meanwhile, Babar Azam is resting at the top of the international cricket rankings.
