LEGO Sets Retiring Soon: Grab These Before They’re Gone

LEGO has released many more sets than it can feasibly keep in stock, so the brick-building company regularly retires its sets. A new batch of LEGO sets is on the chopping block now and will stop being produced in the coming months. You can view the latest list of “retiring soon” sets here, but we’ve hand-picked some of the most popular sets that won’t be around much longer below.

LEGO Sets Retiring Soon

Some great sets here, to be sure. One of the most popular mega-sets is the Imperial Star Destroyer from the LEGO Star Wars Ultimate Collector Series. At $700 and measuring over three feet long, of course, this won’t be accessible to everyone. It’s a real conversation piece, as they say. But if you can afford it and you want it, now’s the time to pull the trigger.

The Disney Castle is another iconic (and pricy) set that may appeal to serious Disney fans — and there are plenty of those out there. It comes with minifigures for Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Daffy, and Tinkerbell.

Those without hundreds of dollars to spend on LEGO sets have plenty of options as well. NBC Sitcom fans can grab the Friends Central Perk set or the Seinfeld apartment set before they’re hard to come by. In addition to being on the verge of being canceled, the Star Wars Scout Trooper helmet is also on sale for $40.

Basically, once these sets stop being produced and their current stock sells out, they’ll be hard to find at MSRP. If you’ve had your eye on any of them, now is a good time to add them to your collection.
