The region will soon be transformed into a mecca for car lovers as the Bargara Beach Campout and Auto-Mazing Car Show events return.
Organized by Rum City Rods and Customs, Bargara Beach Campout and Auto-Mazing Car is expected to draw thousands of car enthusiasts to the Bundaberg Region for the long-weekend in October.
Rum City Rods and Customs secretary Neil Irvine said he expected to see hundreds of vehicles lined up for community members to check out at the Auto-Mazing Car Show.
“Rum City Rods and Customs Inc is celebrating our 30th anniversary, and the club has been holding various events raising money for charities during this time with great success,” Neil said.
“We will definitely exceed 250 vehicles, which include other local clubs and other interstate visitors coming to our region to enjoy what we have on offer.
“We see over 6000 spectators roll through the event on Sunday enjoying the music, cars, traders, other displays and also have a feed and a cold drink.”
The Auto-Mazing Car Show will be held at Jayteens Park in Bargara from 9 am to 1 pm on Sunday October 2.
Entry is by gold coin.
“Absolutely anything of interest is welcome to enter, the cost is only $10 per vehicle,” said Neil.
“There is something for everyone; photo opportunities for the kids with various display cars, engine starts, trade stalls, Rum City Rods new 30th anniversary club merchandising for sale.
“(There will be) hundreds of very cool cars, bikes, hot rods, customs and classics, and much more.”
The three-day event will start on September 30 with various events and activities planned for campout entrants.
Neil said prior to the Auto-Mazing Car Show, Bargara Beach Campout events included garage crawls, cruising around town and a ladies’ afternoon at Macadamias Australia.
